Striking temples, traditional Thai culture and dramatic mountain scenery mark Chiang Rai’s presence in northern Thailand.

The small city is all about chilling out and taking it in slowly, savoring each moment as it comes.

It has such a diversity of historical and cultural attractions, great local food and a super laid back, down to earth atmosphere.

Just moments from the border of Laos and Myanmar, the countryside radiates a quietude and serenity that is worth embracing.

Our remote location here, off the beaten track is well removed from the large crowd driven by sense desires,

making it the perfect oasis for inner practice, reflection and healing.

New Life Foundation

New Life Foundation is a nonprofit therapeutic and practice center in northern Thailand that offers a supportive learning space for individuals looking for help with stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, trauma, or addiction. In addition to core daily practices of mindfulness, meditation, and yoga, they also offer one-on-one counselling and group workshops based on various modalities, including cognitive behavioural therapy, trauma release exercises, Enneagram, mindfulness-based relapse prevention, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, non-violent communication, art and dance therapy, and more.

It is their mission to create an organisation where the atmosphere, environment, and all the activities help to cultivate mindfulness, and all community members share a love for learning and spiritual growth.

It’s pretty hard to describe the sight of the sun rising over the paddy fields, the fog rolling over the lake, or a flock of friendly ducks blocking your path to the meditation hall,

(tip – if you proceed slowly, they will let you through).

It is such a pleasure to be hosted by this heart filled foundation and we look forward to re-visiting this space.

All rooms are private single, super clean and humble living quarters with fan ventilation for one guest and come with have private bathroom.

New Life prepares wonderfully fresh and wholesome vegetarian food for breakfast, lunch and dinner each day and will be a mixture of thai and international flavours. Where possible their volunteers source their daily ingredients from their very own gardens and farm animals.

New Life is a mindful community made up of residents, volunteers, guests, and staff from around the world. Some stay for a few weeks and others for a few months or even years. Yet, despite the changing nature of the community something remains constant throughout – a sense of openness, kindness and acceptance to all who pass through.
